The German electro-acoustic ensemble from Berlin, Brandt Brauer Frick chose to remix Ludwig’s Arc de Triomphe. The group that’s become known for their sonic experiments with techno and classical music over the years, built on and accelerated the tune’s broken beats to create a club-ready version. In between the synth pads and digital commotion, Stimming’s voice continues to shine through in a comforting, near heavenly fashion. The soothing repetitive vocals and piano chords warm Brandt Brauer Frick’s darker contribution to the track and keep its emotional core intact. “Stimming is an artist we've followed for a long time, his craft and sound design have always been special. Like most of his 'Ludwig' album, 'Arc De Triomphe' is an exploration into a less dancefloor-oriented terrain, so it was a joy to wrap it into our sound and bring it to the floor,” state Brandt Brauer Frick. “We especially couldn’t get enough of the warm sound of the Vermona synthesizer that Stimming used in this song and tried to give it as much space as possible.” It’s a thumping remake of one of the album’s strongest tunes that continues to express above all a resilient spirit in the face of adversity.
